Welcome to North/South Recordings!
Welcome to North/South Consonance's twenty-eighth consecutive season.
In a culture overwhelmed by mere entertainment, North/South concerts celebrate the
remarkable spectrum of artistic voices among us while upholding an all-too-rare
commitment to artistic discovery and innovation. Our
free-admission concerts performed by first-rate artists focus on emerging
and established composers whose works, often new to New York, always stimulate,
challenge and excite.
North/South's ever-expanding
compact disc catalogue features expert performances of significant compositions,
some written especially for the North/South Consonance Ensemble. These albums bring
the music of composers we champion to an international audience and the convenience
of your home.
You, the listener, are an integral part of our dynamism. I encourage you to share
North/South Consonance concert experiences with your family and friends.
And please,
join our efforts to bring contemporary music from throughout the Americas
and the world to the attention of New York City audiences. Your tax-deductible contribution
will enable us to advance vigorously into the next 28 years of musical innovation.
I hope to greet you in person at one of our upcoming concerts.
Max Lifchitz, Founder & Director
